With the recognition that our beloved ARR ( rehman) is getting ( albeit for the wrong movie I dare suggest ) , sometimes I feel if the old great R D Burman would be at the same time locking horns with our contemporary maestero. Wishful thinking this ….Still we can go back to the past to have a firsthand feeling of the melody again. Iam sharing a downloadable link of one of his unforgettable movie compositions of all time “ Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin” in 1977 starring Rishi Kapoor .

Just have a look at the the list of the songs & go back up & punch the download button .The whole album actually resembles a great ODI match with one maestero Kishore da belting out peppy songs like Sachin & interspersed between those belters you’ll find silken drives from Dravid , songs from Rafi.
Ah Dil Kya Mehfil Hai Tere - Kishore Kumar ( My favourite of the album , a short 2 minute song , but worth the price of reading this whole blog entry.)
Bachna Ae Haseeno - Kishore Kumar ( U must have heard the Ranbeer Kapoor copy , but have a tilt at the original . U’ll cherish it hearing this time.)
Chand Mera Dil - Mohd.Rafi ( A classic in the true sense . great example of RDB artistry . Starts as a thunderous rocker & in the middle changes its clour like a reptile. Also hear this for RDB trademark “Wakao”)
Hum Kisise Kum Nahin - Mohd.Rafi & Asha Bhosle ( Panchamda started the trend for kawwali’s in 70’s carried on admirably by Rehman these days)
Humko To Yaara Teri Yaari - Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhosle ( A good song albeit a momentum breaker in this great album)
Kya Hua Tera Wada - Mohd.Rafi ( A career reviving song for Mohd. Rafi , got a filmfare for this one . A must listen for romantics)
Mil Gaya Humko Saathi - Kishore Kumar & Asha Bhosle ( Peppy , fast pitched song)
Tum Kya Jano Mohabbat Kya Hai - R.D Burman ( Panchamda started the trend of lending his different voice to his compositions . Listen to this rocket.
Yeh Ladka Hai Allah Kaisa Hai - Asha Bhosle ( a great Asha hummer).
If you are still reading , I won’t ask you to download the songs ,as connoisseurs among you folks already are on their song players.
well presented
